I finished the first Volume for TGK - Secrets of an Custodian today, what means that i will publish the first chapters in a pack when i'm finished with it.
I started the progress of TGK around 2006- after watching the first movie of Pirates of the Carribean.
My first idea to make a 'copy' of it, but with my own characters. Because it did sounded unoriginal, and i hadn't any idea's, i scrapped it.
The next thing was: I was browsing at some costumes, and other fanfictions of other people, and starting to create my first Pirate Oc: Anette. In first place, i liked her, but it began to start be boring,so i stopped again with it.
After watching other movies around the plot with 1600/1700, i designed my official characters, and started to began with my story.
( that was in 2008. )
Original story:
The story takes his place in the year 1710, where pirates kills each other violently, and takes the treasures and money from other innocent people. There where created Custodians, by an godess to save the people who they must protect. Custodians must seal the 'murder pirates' and takes the black magic out of them. One day, there is comes an pirate, known as the strongest of the seven seas. The pirate named Rosette would like to protect her people, but they misunderstand her. The people pushed her and her crew away because they are scared of pirates.
This revolves around a woman named Lita, who is known as a notorious pirate, while she actually is not. The people confuse her with Lita's mother who was the first captain. Lita is nowhere more welcome since they know her, and the corporal and the police try to capture her. Lita escapes, but there is a guy, and he is in love with her. The boy called David, and would love to know what secrets she keep hidden. Besides this, Lita must complete a goal, and kick her rival, Adriane off. They also came with 3 other people in contact, -including 1 shipwrecked girl -who go along with Lita. Thus Lita begins her new target with a group of people and she does her best to get everything to focus on 1 thing: Make sure that the others did not come behind her identity.

Books aren't known for their overwhelming visuals - people don't want to see a million and one different pictures, they just want a vague idea of what's in there. This kind of style is more suited to movies rather than written works.
However as far as what you've got here goes it's pretty damn amazing. I'm having a hard time figuring out if the characters here were photographed and digitally edited or drawn completely off by scratch. Either way it works.
Sort of, anyway.
You've got a bit too much contrast between top and bottom. It makes me think I'm looking at two different things at once rather than a single product; the art styles are simply too different.
I hope this is clear enough for you. It's a good start!
